Our 2023 Season is now CLOSED for applications.
Please read the 2023 Hilliard Farm Market Rules and Regulations document below before applying.
There is a $10 application fee.
If you are vendor selling homemade artisanal goods or soaps/lotions, Please see Artisanal Product Vendor Section for more information.
If you consider your products to be in the Other Homemade Products and Soaps/Lotions categories, you will be included in a rotating schedule for the market season. These types of products have been found to sell well over the course of the market. To avoid vendors wasting their time by attending every week, we will be having a rotation list of spots to give the community variety and hopefully increase revenue for vendors. If after the first scheduled week, the vendor feels they are not a good fit for the market, they may end their participation without penalty. The first week’s fee will be $20 for a trial week. If after the trial week, you would like to continue, the remaining 3 weeks will be at $15 per week. If you would like to commit to the four weeks that is allotted to each of the rotating vendors at the beginning of the season, the vendor fee is $15 per week.
For vendors selling their art, crafts, stickers, bags, wood work, photos, or anything along that nature, MUST submit photo samples of your products on approval. The goal for HFM is to provide a community space that provides a positive and inclusive environment for all those who attend the market. If a product is seen that may alienate or hurt someone at our market, the HFM committee will ask the vendor not to sell them at the market. If the vendor refuses to comply with the request, they may be asked to leave the market and not return. If there are and questions about this policy, please email the HFM Manager at HilliardFarmMarket@hilliardumc.org.
We have tried to run our market through the end of September before. However, we struggled to keep volunteers coming as well as vendors kept dropping out. We also do not have great lighting in our parking lot, so as it gets darker earlier it becomes a safety hazard.
We advertise on our website, Facebook, and Instagram. We also are included in Destination Hilliard and in the directory of Farm Markets in the Columbus Area. We also have an electric sign that displays the times every day. Members of our community also display our yard signs before and throughout our season. If you have any further advertising ideas please email us.
Our treasurer is part time and is not able to provide checks every week. Also some weeks, the amount of SNAP tokens earned is so low, it is not worth writing a check until the amount is higher.
